To Houston and back.

Finn and I packed up the car and headed to Houston for a few days.  My really good friends live their and I haven't seen them for a few years.  They have had two more babies and now I finally got to meet them. Also they wanted to meet Finn! My good friend Hailee and her friend drove with me.  Hailee's sister lives in Austin and it is on the way to Houston.  With two babies we needed the help in keeping them entertained.  It was a fun drive and the kids did amazing for being in the car for so long.  Once we got to Houston we unloaded and relaxed.  It was amazing being back in Houston.  I definitely didn't miss the humidity.  All the boys got along so well.  Finn doesn't have boys to play with and he LOVED IT!  Mason and him are the same age and it was so neat watching them play.  The Bowen's have a piano and Finn loves music.  All day long the kids would play for us.  He is so gentle and you can tell he will always have this love for music.  While we were there we went to the mall and let the kids play in the play ground.  It was so bitter sweet watching Finn play.  He is getting so big.  I loved that he could walk and climb and play with the other kids, but knowing that he is already big enough to do those things made me want to cry! He is growing up so fast! We also went to the Aquarium.  Finn loves water and fish.  We had a blast.  Finn would do the sign for fish and point! He loved it.  For Mother's Day Layne surprised his beautiful wife and me with flowers and chocolate covered strawberries!! He is so sweet.  Courtney and I pampered ourselves by getting a manicure and pedicure.  Then afterwards we got a delicious frozen yogurt.  Layne was so nice to watch Finn while we went.  I was so sad to go.  We had a great time and Finn was so good.  I will be planning our next visit soon.  Especially since Finn was so well behaved, but we will be bringing Cole along with us.  We missed him so much.
