Getting ready for the end of summer

I haven't posted in a while.  Sorry, Finn makes getting on the computer a little difficult.  He LOVES playing on it.  So since June quite a bit has happened.  Cole found out the sex of the baby and then about a month later I decided I wanted to know.  We are so pleased to be having a GIRL! We aren't sure if we are going to try for anymore, so 1 boy and 1 girl are perfect. ( I am hoping for 1 more at least ;)) Finn has gotten super clingy to both Cole and me.  Which is great.  I love how cuddly he is and he gives the tightest hugs ever, but I am wondering if this is preparation for how he is  going to be when she arrives.....I hope he will adjust fast.  It will be super hard to try to give him all the attention when our other baby is needing me so much too.  I will have to have faith that the Lord will provide the way for us all to adjust fast.  My friends bought and moved into their first house! We are so excited for them!!! YAY Andersen's!! It has been so fun helping them move and paint a little.  Finn and their little girl, Gemma, are great friends.  They used to live pretty far from us so we couldn't hang out as much as we wanted.  Now they are super close! We love it.  Our other friends have been away visiting their families in Idaho for what felt like FOREVER! They are finally back now so we can't wait to see them and hear about their trip.

In other parts of the country Cole's and my brother have had some important things happen.  My brother, Thomas, graduated High School this year and is getting ready to start COLLEGE!  I am so proud of him.  He is going to a JC for now and then hopes to transfer.  Cole's brother, Cache, got his mission call!! He will be leaving for Peru the beginning of Nov.  We are hoping he will get to meet his niece before.  We just got back from Utah for a few days.  Cache was going through the temple for the first time.  It was so great.  I love the temple.  It was a very special day for me, not only because I got to be there for Cache, but also because it was exactly a year since I went through.  Cole and I have promised each other we would make it to the temple once a month.  It has been difficult getting there, but we are not going to let the excuses out weigh the importance.  The temple is 3 hrs away, so it is a whole day trip for us.  Our friends here have said they will come with us and we will trade babysitting during the session.  AWESOME!!!

Finn will be starting pre-school this year! I got his letter in the mail a few days ago.  He is in the "bug" class. ha They sent a list of items I need to provide for the year.  Crazy how much stuff they use and need.  His class meets from 9-1 Tues and Thurs.  So we won't be away from him for too long.  I am hoping that it will provide enough one-on-one time with me and the new baby.  I am nervous about dropping him off.  I hope he doesn't cry long after I leave.  I feel kinda bad for him.  He will have a lot to deal with all at once.  He will have about a month of school before our new little one comes.  He is also starting nursery in Oct.  Maybe being at school will help him prepare for that as well.  Speaking of church I have received a new calling.  For about a month now I am the new Primary Secretary!  It has been great.  I was never in Primary, so seeing everything that goes on has been such a blessing.

In October my mom and possibly my Grandma are going to come out for a visit.  Every year in Albuquerque  there is a huge Hot Air Balloon Festival.  I am so excited to go and see it.   We are hoping that we will travel there and meet up with them, then come back to Carlsbad and have the baby.  ha Only in a perfect world though, right. :)  During the festival I will be about 38-39 weeks, so it is possible.  With Finn I went 41 weeks and probably would have kept on going if they didn't start me.  I have started my every 2 week appointments now so hopefully she will give us some warning before she decides to come into the world.

Our 4th of July Celebration! Finn loved the Fire works.  I was shocked they didn't scare him.
Playing with the hose.  Our daily routine to beat the heat.
Playing in tub with Carly.  Who knew Shaving cream could be so fun?!
25 weeks along in this picture
Family trip to Sitting Bull Falls
Grandpa, Cousin Dylan and Finn...I think he is going into the family business
playing with his cousins in the trampoline.  Saying good bye is hard to do!
That I think catches everyone up for now.  We will have more to share in Sept and Oct.

To Camp Tall Pines again

Memorial weekend is a big holiday for Cole and I.  Two years ago Cole purposed to me on May 31.  It is a very special day for us.  So this year Cole got a 3 day weekend and we headed up to our favorite campsite in Mayhill, NM.  This time was so much fun.  Finn could walk around and play.  He had a blast. He loved being outside, the campfire and watching Dad chop firewood.  Cole and Finn are two peas in a pod.  It is so much fun to watch Finn chase after his Daddy.  We got a tent with a rain fly that has sun-lights.   It was amazing being able to fall asleep in our tent, but still able to see the stars.  In Mayhill you don't have cell reception so you are completely alone and together at the same time.  Cole and I needed to feel close again.  Our life is getting busy and we needed to get back to the basics.  It helped us unwind and rediscover why we chose to be a family.  On Sunday night our friends, Hailee, Derek and Carly, showed up and we went on a hike Monday in Cloudcroft.  It was so green and peaceful.  Finn's favorite place to be is in nature on his Daddy's shoulders.  Can't wait to get back up there.  During the summer they open up their activities!! They have a climbing wall and horse back riding, just to name a few.  It is going to be so much FUN!!
